He was predeceased by: his siblings, John (Norma), Marie Stanghetta (late Mike) and Anne Stone (late Gordon); and his parents, Bartyk Martynuck and Josephine Martynuck.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Christine Newman (Steve), Craig (Stephanie) and Justine Patry (Sylvain); his grandchildren, Shane, Dylan, Caleb, Chloe, Titus, Gabriel, Kassandra, Jacob, Angele, Andrea, Joshua, Michael and Danielle; his sister Sue Stanghetta (Mel); his mother-in-law Alice Childs (late John) of Hope, Michigan.; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Childs (Kathy) of Hope, Michigan. and Elgin Childs (Lori) of Hope, Michigan.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
