He was predeceased by: his children, Jimmy (Lorrie) and Jayne Corbett (Don); his grandchild Jamie; and his sibling June Kennedy. He is survived by: his spouse Irja; his child Arthur Dewar Jr.; his grandchildren, Shari (Joe), Kari (Cory), Kelli (Shawn), Julie (Brian), Matthew, Brandon (Sierra), Nicholas, Popeye of Maija, Meeka, Kyra, Olivia, Sammy, Jacob, Devon and Allison; his sibling Joyce Murray; and his sibling-in-law Harold Salminen.

Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Algoma Veterans Association would be appreciated by the family.
