She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Galbraith and Hazel Galbraith; her sons, Douglas (Butchie) and Michael; her siblings, Richard Galbraith (Dick) and Brenda Jean Morris; and her niece Sherry Dawn (Toot).

She is survived by: her husband Douglas Laporte Jr.; her son Rick (Lori); her grandson Daniel (Joan); her great grandchild Connor; and her friend Kathrine Creamer.
