Jim Carthew Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Carthew (Port Colborne, Ontario), who passed away on March 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline; his siblings, Marlene and Bill; and his parents, Edward "Gus" Carthew and Hazel Carthew.
He is survived by: his sons, Len Carthew (Sylvie) and Bob Carthew (Debbie); his stepchildren, Dianne Ryan (late Harry) and Star Lynn VanAlstine (late Wayne); his grandchildren, Alisha Dunford (Scott), Ashley, Tyler and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Damien, Dianna, Denzel, Rayne and Ryden; his siblings, Jackie Marinelli (Alfred) and Richard Carthew (Claudia); and also Lou Nagy.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada (in honour of William Carthew) or McMaster Children's Hospital.
