She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Blackwood; her son Richard Blackwood (Sharon); her parents, Walter Whitehead and Ada; and her siblings, George Whitehead (Carmell), Reginald (Triva), Katherine DeLaire (Leo) and Joan Lewis (Guy).
She is survived by: her children, Lynda Mills (Ron) and Shawn Blackwood (Kathy); and her grandchildren, Rhonda Murphy (Scott), Stephen Mills, Duane Blackwood, Stacey Blackwood, Gregory Blackwood, Shawna Blackwood and Emma Blackwood. She is also survived by grandchildren and her 2 great great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
