It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine Norma Dewar (Peterborough, Ontario), born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, who passed away on May 19, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Barrett and Sarah Barrett; her husband John Grieves Dewar; her daughter Carolyn Montgomery (late Garry); and her siblings, William Barrett, Josephine Gillies and Marjorie McAllistar.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Jamieson (Brian Smith), John Dewar (Kelly) and Kelly Dewar-Bursey; her grandchildren, Karri-Lynn Rivard, Susan McMahon, Steven Bennewith, Lori Anderson-Richards, Krista Hubbard (Bruce), Robyn Dewar-Cozzolino (Andrew) and Mitchell Bursey (Melyssa); and her siblings, Joyce Matthews and Stanley Barrett. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
