He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Niddrie and Gladys Niddrie; his sister Helen; his mother-in-law Elva Venables; and his brother-in-law Keith Farrar.

He is survived by: his significant other Trudy; his children, Jodi Majtyka (James), Amanda (Tim Cooper) and Christopher; his grandchildren, AJ and Melody; his siblings, William (Lynn) and Gayle Kempton (Jim); his father-in-law Allen Venables; and his sister-in-law Valerie Venables Farrar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
