He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Walker and Violet Walker. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Becky and Lesley Walker; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Marilyn Stephenson; his brothers-in-law, Brian (Clara) and Don (Bev); and his cousin Iris Wilson (Dave).

He pursued his hobbies of playing guitar and ukulele, woodworking and stained glass, and during the pandemic golf.
