She was predeceased by: her stepgrandson Jeff; her husbands, Anthony Nighbor and Ray Cahill; her daughter Arlene Laverty; her son-in-law Bob Laverty; her parents, Louise Friend (Yantha) and Stephen Friend; and her siblings, Audrey, Gladys, Sandra, Violet and David.

She is survived by: her children, Martin Nighbor (Dawna) of Pembroke, Stephen Nighbor of Pembroke, Anthony Nighbor (Robin Locke) of Pembroke and Mary-Lynn Kutchaw (Greg) of Pembroke; her grandchildren, Andrea, Kimberley, Leeanne, David, Andrew, Kyle and Craig; her stepgrandsons, David and Chad; and her siblings, Beverly Lambert, Percy and Patrick Friend.
