He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Edwin Malkin and Elizabeth Malkin; and his sister Nancy (Paul LaBine). He is survived by: his wife Dr. Sylvia Malkin; his nephews, Allan LaBine and John (Helen); his great-nephew Colton; his niece Mary LaBine; and his great-niece Alexandra. He is also survived by aunt and uncle in Hamilton, visiting my parents.

A little-known fact is that he donated blood to my brother Garth when he was born, apparently saving his life.
