He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hoy and Helen Hoy (Philp); his wife Kay Hoy (Smith); and his siblings, Jack (Hilda), Doris (Jim) and Bettie (Ron).
He is survived by: his children, Doug (Deborah), Sheryl (Richard) and Kathy (Nicholas); his grandchildren, Karen (Oliver), Graham (Erica), Andrew (Heather), William, Thomas and Maggie; his great grandchildren, Pippin, Silas and Lincoln; and his brother Keith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
