She was predeceased by: her father Regent. She is survived by: her husband Steve; her sons, Scott (Chelsea) and Eric (Meghann); her grandsons, Nash and Colt; her mother Fleur-Ange Laframboise of Cornwall, Ontario.; and her brother Daniel. She is also survived by her extended family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, Joanne's family has asked for donations to be made in her memory to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
