She was predeceased by: her husbands, Charles Chuc and Charles "Chuck" Murchie; her son Raymond; and her siblings, Alvin (Vera), Bruce, Shelby (Myrtle) and Marguerite Sibbick (Charlie).

She is survived by: her children, Bill (Rosie), Mary Anne Buckrell (Dennis), Julia McCallum (Dave), Peter (Ann) and Paul (Shelly); her grandchildren, Karen (Dylan), Bryan (Angela), Jonathon, Aaron (Nicole), Julie (Nash), James, Darren and Mathew; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Williams. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Velma, may be made to Woodingford Lodge – Woodstock.
