He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Engelen (Veldjesgraaf); and his grandson Elbert Engelen. He is survived by: his children, John Engelen, Bob, Jacqueline Engelen, Connie and Andrew Boon; his grandchildren, Kariena, Shawn, Trevor, Geralyn Engelen and Melanie Boon; his sisters, Riet van of Bosch, Hennie Van Ommeren (Arie) of Holland and Bep Speksnijder of Holland; and his sisters-in-law, Wilma Van (Bill) and Bertha Stubbe (Norwich).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bethany Care Home of Norwich, or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Donations are being accepted for: CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIÉTÉ CANADIENNE DU CANCER (CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIETE CANADIENNE DU CANCER).
