He was predeceased by: his parents, John Giroux and Regina Giroux (Bourque); and his siblings, Gerard (Nicole), Julia Bastien (Julien), Marguerite Champagne (late Donat), Flora Taillefer (Georges), Marie-Anne Landry (late Edmond), Bernadette Lebel (late Victor), Rhea, Rose Bilodeau (Henri), Andre, Rheal, Gerald (Viviane), Michel and Collette Gravelle (Raymond).

He is survived by: his wife Claudette Giroux; his children, John Giroux (Leanne), Suzette Brown (John) and Jacqueline Giroux; his grandchildren, Tanya Giroux, Kyle Giroux, Jonathan Brown, Joshua Brown and Katelyn Brown; and his siblings, Dan (Rollande), Reginald (Donna), Gabriel (Rex), Louise Bilodeau (late Jules), Raymonde Rancourt (Conrad) and Jeannine Guillemette (late Roger). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
