He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio and Francesca; his siblings, Maria Angela (James Licata) and Felice; and his brother-in-law Lillo Romito.

He is survived by: his children, Maria Appelgren (Petros Gougoulakis), Franca (Vincent De Luca), Tony (Beth) and Lisa (Rory Stackwood); his grandchildren, Roberto and Alexis Appelgren Gougoulakis (Stina); his children, Zena and Fiorenza Stackwood; his great grandchild Theo; his close friend Josephine Callaghan; his siblings, Melina, Pino (Jean) and Elio (Giannina); and his sister-in-law Anna Maria. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
