He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean McLaughlin; his parents, Clarence McLaughlin and Edith McLaughlin; his siblings, Elva Michel (Clair) and Lloyd McLaughlin; and his brothers-in-law, Don Smith (Marg) and Doug Smith (Laureen).

He is survived by: his children, Janice Ward (Steve) and Dave McLaughlin (Donna-Lynn); his grandchildren, Michael Ward (Reena), Shawn Ward (Lori), Amanda McLaughin and Joshua McLaughlin (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Kyra, Spencer, Noah, Ella, Haddie, Lydia and Jones; and his sibling-in-law Marg McLaughlin. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations to the Ritz Villa Redevelopment Fund or ALS Society would be appreciated and may be made.
