He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelo Galan and Zoilita Romero; and his father-in-law Segundo Romero. He is survived by: his wife Mariela Romero; his children, Nervo, Mariela and Marcelo Galan Romero; his children-in-law, Melissa Aragones and Sergio Dominguez; his grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth, Olivia Rose, Sebastian Andres, Sofia Victoria and Arianna Valentina; his stepgrandchildren, Mariana and Andres; and his mother-in-law Clara Luz Loayza. He is also survived by his family and friends.
