She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Tavares. She is survived by: her son Jose Carlos (Amelia); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Luke) and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Kourtney, Julian and Cristian; and her close friend Chiquinha. She is also survived by Loving Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Diabetes Canada and/or Canadian Cancer Society.
