He was predeceased by: his siblings, Julienne Kerr, Georgette Richards, Marcelle Demeulenaere and Frank Van Damme; and his parents, Norbert Damme and Margaretha Van Damme.

He is survived by: his son Lucien Van Damme Jr.; and his sister Lucienna Demeulenaere. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
