She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Shipley and Pearl Shipley; her husband Jack Hessel; her sister Dorothy Stade; and her sister-in-law Erie Shipley.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie McClelland (Michel Prefontaine), Scott Hessel (Joanne), Geoff Hessel (Brenda) and Nancy Bond; her grandchildren, Wes (Erin), Lisa (Shawn), Steve (Rene), Candice (Mark), Andrea (Shaun), Cameron and Matthew; and her siblings, LaVerne Shipley and Lorraine McClelland. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Sympathy can be expressed through donations to the McCormick Home Alzheimer's Day Program.
