He is survived by: his spouse Jean; his children, Michael (Noella), Debbie Gresko (Mark), Laurie Goertz (George), Steven (Kathyn) and Pam Hoffarth; his grandchildren, Jeff, Kevin, Zach, Brooke, George, Charlie, Erik, Evan, Olivia, Amy and Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Sydney, Mason and Maddy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association or Kidney Foundation as expressions of sympathy.
