He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Reitzel; his parents, Clayton and Cecilia; his siblings, Bob (Lillian), Albert (Wilma) and Cecilia; and his sister-in-law Betty.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Reitzel (Cheryl), Bonnie Gaudet (Stephen), Butch Reitzel (Cheryl), Linda Reitzel and Gwen Gerencser (Dave); his grandchildren, Amy Reitzel (Dave), Matt Reitzel (Lauren), Laura Eby (Bob), Stephanie Gaudet, Scott Gaudet, Sarah Kunneke (Steph), Justin Reitzel (Lindsay), Bryon Reitzel (Tiffany), Melissa Schelter, Nick Gerencser (Ashley) and Adam Gerencser (Katarina); and his siblings, Jerome (late Margaret), Stan (Lorain), Marcella, Dolores Brandon, Lou (Carole), Lorne (Anne) and Dianne Dalton (late Ray). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic, a private family visitation and funeral service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home in Waterloo.
