She was predeceased by: her parent Annerose Menig. She is survived by: her father Otto Menig; her husband Walter "Walli" Sawatzky; her children, Joschka (Leslie), Katrin (AJ) and Anneli; her grandson Rudy "Ru" Johnson; and her siblings, Hermann (Manfred) and Stephan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the ecology/spirituality programs at Ignatius Jesuit Centre (https://ignatiusguelph.ca) in Guelph or to Mennonite Central Committee in Kitchener as expressions of sympathy.
