She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Waito; her parents, Isadore Fortier and Mina Fortier; and her siblings, Flora Cliche, Lawrence Fortier, Freda Edwards, Aurore Drage, Rita Nighbor and Anita Lance.

She is survived by: her children, James (Peggy), Barry (Connie), Lyle and Brenda Behrendt (Greg). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
