He is survived by: his wife Brigitte Schmid; his son Eric Schmid (Maureen); his grandchildren, Rhea (Drew), Kaitlin (Jamie), Ryan (Emily) and Mathias (P. J.); his great grandchildren, Georgia, Scarlett, Maddox, Everett and Evelyn; and his siblings, Paul Schmid (Carole) and Francis Schmid (June).
