He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes and Aili; and his brother Leo Roininen. He is survived by: his close friend Lynne Kerr; his sons, Mark (Olivia) and Aaron Roininen (Aisha); his grandson Luke; his nephew John Roininen (Wendy); and his nieces, Debbie Kelemen and Linda Roininen.
