He was predeceased by: his wife Cherryl (Wells); his sons, Robert and Jeffrey Blackburn; his siblings-in-law, Don Church, Earl Craig, Raymond Bate, Ron Trumble, Ralph Clarke, Al Keizer, Greg Wells, Wendy and Mary-Ann; his parents, Phillip Blackburn and Bertha Blackburn; and his parents-in-law, Eugene (Gene) and Inez Wells.

He is survived by: his daughter Lisa (Darren Porritt); his grandchildren, Kendra "Maggie", Kelsey (Alex), Ashley (André), Amber (Ryan), Jordan Porritt, Christopher, Shawn and Amanda Blackburn; and his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty", Ardon "Jake", Ruth (Barry), Gerry (Marion), Myrna, Murray and Doug (Sharon). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
