He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet O'Shaughnessy and Cyril O'Shaughnessy; his brothers, Bruce O'Shaughnessy and Colin O'Shaughnessy; and his brother-in-law Sam Bredin.

He is survived by: his children, Sandra Skitch (Dave), Paul O'Shaughnessy (Laurie) and Brian O'Shaughnessy (Joanne); his grandchildren, Nicholas Skitch, Kaylin Skitch, Megan O'Shaughnessy and Tammy Vdovjak; his sisters, Audley Perry, Joan Bredin and Linda Caulfield; and his sister-in-law Eva O'Shaughnessy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
