She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Newton and Myrtle Potter; and her brothers, Robert and Stewart Newton. She is survived by: her children, Susan (Mike), Douglas (Phet) and Gail; and her grandchildren, Mitchell, Julie-Ann, Jason, Jessica and Piyachet. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
