She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Whalen; her children, John and Susan; and her siblings, Henriette, Gabriel, Theresa, Joseph, Raymond and Stella.

She is survived by: her daughters, Maureen (Clyde Paul), Mary (Doug Cleary), Elaine, Theresa and Madeline; her grandchildren, A. J., Austin Paul, Conor (Morgan Anna Reed), Bridget, Samuel, Fiona, Aiden Cleary, James Brough (Angela), Matthew Whalen, Megan (Paul Devries), Bryson and Cayse Ruiter (Justine Anderson); her great grandchildren, Dawson, Mara Devries and Ruthann of Jong; and her sister Marie Shoulak of Saskatchewan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
