She was predeceased by: her parents, William Todd and Doris Todd; her sister Joyce; and her brother-in-law Lloyd Owen. She is survived by: her sons, Graeme (Laurie) and Alex (Christianne); her granddaughters, Tyne, Sydney, Shaelyn and Sierra; her husband William "Bill" Mitchell; her nieces and nephews, Chris (Lisa), Kelvin (Vicky), Jacqueline (Steve) and Karen (Ian); and her siblings-in-law, Joan and Bob Atkinson.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.
