He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Catherine Ariesen and Bradley Spencer; and his sisters, Sybil Ingham, Catherine Holmes, Dorothy Watson and Sarah Manning.

He is survived by: his children, Terry, Roger Recker, Carrie, Gary Stahler, Jeff and Donna Spencer; his son-in-law Ben Ariesen; his grandchildren, Kelly (Bill), Linda, Melanie, Lindsay, Chrystal (Ryan), Jared, Jacob, Mackenzie and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Emma, Erin, Lauren, Lochlan, Audrey, Margaret, Logan and Emily; and his sister Winnifred Findlay.
