He was predeceased by: his son Angus Bennett; his parents, Louise Partridge and Hiram Partridge; and his grandmother Lucy Patrick Stoneypoint (Fred). He is survived by: his wife Wilhemina Bennett; his children, Sylvester Jr., Leroy, Elwood, Norman, Paula Bennett of Sagamok and Paulette Tabobondung (Milton) of Parry Island; and his siblings, Martha Charbonneau, Liza Gina-Bernita-Partridge of Parry Island, Maurice and Farley Partridge of Parry Island. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews, cousins & friends.
