She was predeceased by: her husband John Detenshen; her daughter Margaret Detenshen; and her siblings, Stanley Major, Joyce Spring and Geraldine Powell.

She is survived by: her children, David and Wendy Waines (Bob); her grandchildren, Dallas Waines, Amanda Waines-Pablo (Alex), Jared Detenshen, Sara Tady (Shawn) and Jessica Tenove (Jeff); and her great grandchildren, Oliver and Charlie-Rose Tenove. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
