She is survived by: her husband Jim Planeta; her daughters, Joanne (Raymond) of Hampton and Basia (Brett) of Texas; and her grandchildren, Mark (Lindsey), Greg (Becky), Briana (Michael), Meredith (Matt), Courtney and Evan.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Refuge Youth Outreach Centre Oshawa or St. Vincent's Kitchen Oshawa.
