He is survived by: his brother Francis Gerard Flynn (Yutta); his nieces and nephews, Bill McDowell (Maryellen), Teresa Milne (Peter), Mike McDowell (Sigrid), John McDowell (Heather) and Katherine Flynn; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Meghan, Jake, Annie, Rachel, Kristina, Erik, John, Daniel, Tiffany and Matthew.
