He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolphe "Milly" and Jennie Olivier; and his sister Cheryl Gellately (Ed). He is survived by: his spouse Rita Olivier; his children, David Olivier (Elizabeth) and Robert Olivier (Rasa); and his siblings, Jim (Pauline), Barry (Jeanette) and Charlie (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
