He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Jacoba Staal; his son Terry; his sisters, Nel Morrison (Tom) and Toni Fuller (Jim); and his parents, Art and Carla.

He is survived by: his son Brian (Vicky); his grandsons, Darren (Melissa) of Carleton Place and Sean (Nadia) of Ottawa; his great grandchildren, Kylie, Dyllan, Caden, McKenna of Carleton Place, Hunter and Arabella of Ottawa; and his nieces, Patricia Young, Carla Morrison and Shirley Eadie.
