He was predeceased by: his children, Liam of Quinn, A. J., Amy and Mya; and his parents, Eleanor Elder and James Elder.

He is survived by: his wife Lori Komarniski; his children, Elyssa and Lauryn; his siblings, Wayne Elder (Heidi), Brent Elder and Beverlee Fekete (Chris); and his parents-in-law, Peter Komarniski (Susan) and Bonnie Komarniski. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
