He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Matthew of Orillia, Melissa, Waubaushene and Mark (Jessica) of Lafontaine; his grandchildren, Athena, Logan, Shelby, Samantha, Shyla, Izabell, Damien, Rogan, Jetta Lynn and Kaiya; his siblings, Gina, Jessie, Violet, Reginald, Graham, Robert and Terry; and his siblings-in-law, Lori (Geoffrey) and Rick (Jackie).

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Earnest may be made to the Salvation Army, Midland or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
