He was predeceased by: his parent George Kemp; his son Jamie; his grandchild Hunter; his siblings, Mildred St (Bill), Marj Young (Bob), June Shortt (Don), Bernice Lytle (Willie), Colleen Hodgson (Buzz), Carol Morrissey (Steve) and Gordon Kemp; and also Heather Lynn Kemp (Chapman).

He is survived by: his parent Mae Kemp (Howe); his spouse Carole Kemp (Jackson); his children, Tanya Ogden (Jeff) of Brighton and Rick Kemp (Alicia McKeown) of Oshawa; his stepchildren, Robert Jackson of Peterborough and Shawn Jackson (Christina) of Milton; his grandchildren, Laryssa, Jaycee, Hannah, Owen, Lauren, Thomas and Jakob; his siblings, Doreen Goodman (late Cooney) of Courtice, George Kemp of Orono, Elaine Grills (Bruce) of Lindsay, Ted Kemp (Kathy) of Peterborough and Linda McKeen (Bob) of Hagersville; and also Kirkman.
