He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Bangay and Edith (Blakely); and his siblings, Bert Bangay (Mildred), Olga Kerr (George) and Eva Sparling (Desmond).

He is survived by: his wife Frances "Eugenia" (Sheppard); and his children, Lynne (Art Heeney) of Brighton, Gwen Johnston of Trenton, Brian Bangay (Wendy) of Orono, Dennis Bangay of Brighton and Rob Bangay (Wendy) of Brighton. He is also survived by his twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Northumberland Community Care Brighton, or the Brighton Lions Club, would be appreciated by the family.
