She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis F. May and Mary T. (Buchanan); her husband George Max Powers; her stepson Christopher Powers; and her mother-in-law Ruth Wooll Powers Fick.

She is survived by: her son Sean Windover (Kristi Harnden) of Cobourg; her stepdaughter Angela Dragt (Arian) of Brampton; her grandchildren, Kyle Windover, Gabriel, Quinten and Oliver Dragt; her siblings, Mary Lou Baldwin of Burlington, Reni Darlington of North York, Richard May, Cathy May of Peterbrough, Gary May and Linda May of Mexico; and her close friend Jim Silvester of Trenton.
