He was predeceased by: his son Hugh Muir. He is survived by: his wife Helen Muir; his sons, William Muir (Karen) and John Muir (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Meaghan (Robert), Caitlin, Mackenzie, Erin (Stewart), Carter, Avery, Benjamin and Evelyn; and his siblings, Martha, Christine and James.
