He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Thomson and Alice Thomson; his sister Margaret Kinnistoun; and his sister-in-law Myra Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his son Gordon Thomson; his brother John Thomson; and his brother-in-law Alexander Thomson. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
