He was predeceased by: his spouse Lorraine; his child Donald Brian Gilroy; his parents, Emerson Gilroy and Alice Gilroy; and his sister Kathleen Porritt.
He is survived by: his child Graham Gilroy (Doreen); his grandchildren, Kevin (Melinda), Ian (Kristal) and Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Dylan, Kaelan and Lennox.
