She was predeceased by: her spouse Bill Smit. She is survived by: her children, Lydia Smit, William Smit, Randy Smit (Tanya Parent) and Richard Smit (Melissa Burns); her siblings, Tetje Muizelaar, Rinke Snyder (Annie), Loes Pols (Simon), Annie Kroondijk and Riekel Snyder; and her siblings-in-law, Jan Stienstra and Sandra Smit. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
