She was predeceased by: her siblings, Walter, Herman and Ike. She is survived by: her significant other Gerrit; her children, William Evers, Cathy Bubar (Brian) and Rick Evers (Amanda Stoner); her sibling Dick; and also Oma. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Association of Hospital Volunteers Bowmanville or to a charity of choice.
