We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2024, at the age of 88, Leila Mae Leighton of Belleville, Ontario passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leila Mae Leighton to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Allan Ferguson Leighton; and her mother Gertrude. She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Leighton (Heather), Marilyn Leighton-Mackenzie (Dave) and Sharon MacArthur (Matt); her great grandchildren, Jaclyn Reid, Julia Reid, Joshua and Ella MacArthur; her sister Donna O'Neil; and her sister-in-law Mary McColl. She is also survived by her four grand-children.

Leila spent endless hours creating sweaters, hats, slippers, shawls, blankets and more – some as gifts and some to donate to those in need.
